Welcome to the December edition of the CIBSE Certification newsletter.

Certification Compliance 

It is a requirement of your registration that your record is always compliant.  This means that the following must be up to date at all times:  
               • Insurance - PII for all schemes, PLI in addition for LCEAs 
               • Software certificate for all LCC Simulation registrants 
               • CPD records 
 

Certification 2025 CPD records

We will be conducting our annual CPD audit in the New Year and the easiest way of making sure that this has no impact on you is to ensure that your 2025 online CPD record is up to date and complies with the CIBSE Certification requirements, as specified in document CCP 111 - CPD Requirements. 
 
If your record is not compliant with the requirements you will be selected for audit and may risk suspension from the registers. 
 
Update your CPD record 
 
Once you are logged in select the CPD tab and then select 'MY CPD - CIBSE CERTIFICATION'.   For those of you that are CIBSE members please note that the Certification CPD records and audit is independent of your CIBSE Membership. 
 

End of year closure 

The CIBSE Certification office will be closed from 17:00 on Wednesday 24 December and will re-open at 09:00 on Monday 5 January 2026. 
 
During this period we will be periodically monitoring emails only for urgent technical or lodgement queries or if you need to provide new insurance details, please email epc@cibsecertification.org. Please bear in mind that response times may be longer than usual. 
 
Lodgement credits can be purchased online at all times through the Lodgement Portal but are allocated to the individual account only.  Bulk purchases (for company accounts) for lodgements that you may want to make during the closure period will need to be made before 12:00 on Wednesday 24 December 2025.
