Welcome to the February edition of the CIBSE Certification newsletter.

Update your CPD records 

We will be conducting our annual CPD audit this month and the easiest way of making sure that this has no impact on you is to ensure that your CPD record for 2025 is up to date and complies with the CIBSE Certification requirements, as stated in document CCP 111 - CPD Requirements. 

If your record is not updated, you will be selected for audit and may risk suspension from the registers and incur a reinstatement fee. 

For those of you that are CIBSE members this audit is relevant only to CIBSE Certification CPD and has no impact on your CIBSE Membership CPD.

Feedback from the Environment Agency on ESOS submissions 

We are beginning to get more visibility of ESOS compliance reports submitted to the Environment Agency (EA) and as a result we have feedback to provide to our registered ESOS Lead Assessors. 

Based on what we have observed, there are many instances where ESOS Lead Assessors have entered their registration numbers incorrectly in the reporting system. We would like to bring this to your attention and request that you are more careful and consistent when registration details are entered in the system.
