Renewing Your Certification 2025/26
Deadline for payment is 31 October 2025
Keep your certification active and compliant by completing your annual renewal.
A link to your digital certificate(s) and ID card for 2025/26 will be sent to you shortly after your payment has been received and processed, provided that you have not been suspended for any compliance reason since your invoice was raised.
Compliance Checklist
1. Signed the latest Code of Conduct
Your details must be kept up to date, including contact information and current employer.

3. Provide up to date insurance information
Submit an up to date copy of your employer’s Professional Indemnity (PII) and/or Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificates. It is a scheme requirement that you continue to provide up to date insurance information whilst listed on our registers.

4. Complete your CPD record online
All registrants must be able to demonstrate that they remain in good ‘professional standing’ by engaging in appropriate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities - detailed in CIBSE Certification document CCP 111 – CPD Requirements.

5. Supply up to date software certificate
Submit an up to date software certificate for all LCC Simulation and EPC assessors
Email your latest certificate to epc@cibsecertification.org
6. Submit an up to date passport style photo
ID cards are issued to all registrants with a certificate and are valid for the registration term.
A link to your digital certificate(s) and ID card for 2025/26 will be sent to you shortly after your payment has been received and processed provided that you have not been suspended for any compliance reason since your invoice was raised.

7. Declare any unspent convictions
Declare any unspent convictions that are relevant to your registration since the initial registration or last renewal that would affect your declaration of being a fit and proper person.

What Happens If You Don’t Renew?
Failure to complete the renewal process may result in:
- Removal from the CIBSE Certification Register
- Loss of certified status
- Inability to lodge energy certificates
- Ineligible to use the Certification marks
