ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management Systems
ISO 50001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an energy management system to help organisations make efficient use of their energy, and to improve energy performance.
What are the benefits of ISO 50001 Certification?
In addition to the widely recognised benefits of conformity with ISO 50001 such as cutting energy consumption and cost and reducing exposure to rising costs. The Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) Regulations, introduced in 2014, permit organisations to use UKAS accredited ISO 50001 Certification as an alternative to producing an ESOS report.
Third party Certification can be used to demonstrate your commitment to reduce your organisation's carbon footprint to interested parties and stakeholders as well as to show conformity to applicable legal requirements. Other benefits include achieving your energy targets by reducing your energy bills and increasing the energy efficiency of your organisation.
Who can apply?
Our Management Systems Certification scheme is open to any organisation that wishes to be certified, providing your organisation has developed and fully implemented the requirements of the chosen Management System Standard. We always recommend that you have operated your Management System for a minimum period of six months and have performed a full set of internal audits before applying to be certified by CIBSE Certification.
