Renewals
We have had a good response to our renewal invitations, but there are still a few of you to respond, and in tandem with that there are still a lot of people that have passed the ESOS assessment but not completed their application. I know that you are busy with ESOS work, according to our recent survey, but you do need to be on the register before the 5th December to report. Full details of our survey result will be published soon.
CIBSE Conference
If any of you are going to be at the CIBSE Building Performance Conference and Exhibition next month we will be on the CIBSE stand in the afternoons if you want to ask us any questions face to face or just say hi, I look forward to seeing you.
Energy Policy consultation
The government have issued a consultation document which you can access here titled reforming the business energy efficiency tax landscape. It does have a significant bearing on the work that many of you do so you will want to read and respond to the consultation document. We will be making a response so please also let us know your views for inclusion.
Scotland Building Regulations
For those of you working in Scotland, as you are probably aware, the new versions of several sections of the Building Regulations there came into force on the 1st October including Section 6 Energy. The new handbooks can be downloaded here.
There has been a slight delay in implementing the associated software changes so for Scotland EPC lodgement SBEM v4.1e tools will continue until a notified go-live date for the new edition.
However, In relation to energy standards within building regs, which changed from 1 October, tools already produced which implement TER compliance checking under SBEM v5.2f remain valid for this purpose.
Finally, and not unconnected with the consultation, in case anyone missed the news last month, we are now UKAS accredited to certify Energy Management Systems (ISO 50001).
