CIBSE Certification was formed in 2006 to provide an independent certification body for the approval of personnel, and has also been certifying management systems since 2015. CIBSE Certification is UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited for most of this and is audited regularly.
Most individuals certified by CIBSE Certification Ltd are known as Low Carbon Consultants (LCC) and Low Carbon Energy Assessors (LCEA), but there are also ESOS Lead Assessors and Heat Networks Consultants.
