Newsletter July 2017
Dear Colleague,
Welcome to the July edition of our CIBSE Certification Monthly Newsletter, which contains important news and compliance information.
Renewals
We will soon be writing to you to confirm your annual renewal details. For those of you that are also a member of a professional body, please find details of some of the reasons why CIBSE own and operate CIBSE Certification Ltd as a Certification Body. Read more.
For renewals we are required to make sure that you meet all of the conditions of certification at that point in time. By this time of the year you should have already updated your CPD records and have up to date insurance records. For reasons beyond our control we have not been able to make the usual progress with these thorough checks so this is going to fall more heavily onto the renewal process.
Your renewal notification, that you will receive shortly, will list the things that we are asking you to check. Please update any information required as promptly as possible as we now need to process this in a more condensed period than normal.
ESOS Phase 2
The ESOS Register is a good example of CIBSE Certification providing access to markets that Professional Body membership alone doesn’t. The Environment Agency has published an ESOS newsletter for the first time in over a year which signals the start of preparation for Phase 2. From the data on notified reports, over 2,000 ESOS Reports were produced by CIBSE ESOS Lead Assessors. This means that our assessors accessed work of approximatley £20 million!
Furthermore, the report that 300 enforcement notices have been issued, with more to come means that there is over £3 million of new ESOS work available this year. For those of you that have maintained your presence on the ESOS register we suggest that you go back to companies that enquired initially but did not go on to commission a report - there is a good chance that they are among the 300.
NEW SERVICE: CIBSE Certification now certifying ISO 9001
CIBSE Certification are now in a position to provide ISO 9001 certification for your business, so when you are producing the certificate to your clients it will be able to have our logo on it.
This is likely to be something that someone else is responsible for in your organisation, so I am asking you to be our advocate to suggest this change. The process of using us for your certification will be different depending on whether your current certification body is UKAS accredited or not. If you or a colleague would like further information on this, please get in touch at ccms@cibse.org.
Regards,
