Welcome to the November edition of the CIBSE Certification newsletter.
Renewals 2022/2023
Thank you to everyone that has renewed their registration this year.
We have now passed the deadline for registration renewals for this year and will be suspending registrants from the registers next week that have not yet paid. We are allowing this seven day grace period due to last week being half term and any bank transfers that may be coming in from the weekend.

Please note that even if you have paid your registration fee you will only receive your digital certificates and ID card if your registration meets the compliance requirements.

Part L 2021 update
The deadline to complete the Part L 2021 Update exam is 30 April 2023. In line with ISO 17024 and the SORs we are required to reassess the competence of people who register with us when major changes take place in regulations and methodology.
This is the first major change to Part L since 2013. Part L covers building regulations for both new and existing buildings. The changes affect anyone who provides energy advice. By taking the exam and learning the most up to date building regulations, you are demonstrating your competence on this important subject to your clients and industry.
Please note that Scotland only registrants are not required to pass this assessment.
There is no requirement to complete training before the exam. However, this may help in ensuring you pass the exam successfully.

CIBSE Training have provided a new date for 2022 for Part L training:
Energy Efficiency related Building Regulations: Part L | 1 December
There will be new dates added in 2023.
PEPA Conference
The annual PEPA conference will be held at the Riverside Centre, Derby, on 29 November 2022.
This is the first face to face event in a couple of years, so it will be a great networking opportunity and it will also be good to meet some of you.
