CIBSE Certification has awarded Crane Fluid Systems an Embodied Carbon Verification (ECV) certification for their product, the Pressure Independent Control Valve DN15 – DN50. This recognition highlights Crane Fluid Systems’ commitment to advancing environmentally friendly practices within the built environment.

The ECV Scheme is an initiative designed to promote sustainability across the construction industry. It focuses on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) products used for heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, electrical and public health applications. By participating in the ECV Scheme, manufacturers can have their embodied carbon claims independently verified, adding an additional layer of credibility and demonstrating their commitment to sustainable practices.

Kieran O'Brien, Director of CIBSE Certification ltd said: ‘We are delighted to award Crane FS with our Embodied Carbon Verification certification. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in their innovative products and this certification underscores their leadership in advancing environmentally friendly practices within the built environment.’

Crane Fluid Systems is known for its range of innovative and efficient products for the building and construction industry. Their offerings include plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and fire protection systems, serving residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Crane Fluid Systems’ products are integral to new construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Paulo Froehner, VP General Manager of Crane Fluid Systems said: ‘We understand the challenges developers and building owners will face on energy efficiency as well as embodied carbon requirements. Working with CIBSE and gaining the ECV certification shows our innovative solutions are aligned with green building initiatives, contributing to the reduction of the environmental impact of construction projects.’

This ECV certification not only reinforces Crane Fluid Systems’ reputation as a leader in sustainable building practices but also encourages other manufacturers to adopt similar environmentally responsible approaches.
